I am going to be starting a computer repair business.

I would like some input.

I have been fixing computers for over 10 years now.

I am a certified computer technician and have worked for Hewlett Packard reseller for over 3 years.

I am factory trained to repair majority of printing and computer equipment out today.

I would like to know what people are willing, or are comfortable in paying a good technician per hour.

I will be providing repair, maintenance, and training on software (To some older people in the area).

Is $65 to $75 per hour OK with majority of people?

Take into consideration I will come out to the house, you do not need to drag any equipment out to any store.

How much do computer repair shops usually charge to assemble a computer?

i want to know it is illegal to have a computer repair at home, i was wondering if it is. PLEASE HELP.

I’m starting a computer repair business with two others.

I’ve been to the IRS’s websites on small business and taxes, but I feel like I’m missing tips/tricks from someone who’s actually done it. What advice do you have to offer? Any advice on the matter is welcomed and appreciated.

ok so i’m thinking of getting a magnet for my computer repair business on the front backing of the yellow pages book. the problem is that it’s really expensive. they want 4k for downpayment and then 1,700 a month.
i’m sure it would get some exposure..but would it be worth it. would it pay for it’s self? would it really work in this economic climate. any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Should I need extra computer pheriperals inside my shop?please advise me.

I recently installed vista on my computer. It messing up, I put xp back on our computer, but sence, the computer won’t play world of war craft. I uninstalled and re installed the game but still continued to not work. The computer repair shop said they tried everything but they didn’t know. Then they tried to charge me $90 to fix the “game files” to my knoldge there’s no such thing. Are they bs’ing me?

I know I do for parts I sell, just not sure about labor. Thinking about starting a computer repair business.

We will be offering computer repair, upgrades and installations. Also will be offering customer built PCs as well.
