Open Question: Where can I get a cheap graphic designer for a flyer design?
By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 27 April, 2011, 4:42 pm
Its for a small, part time business so I am not willing to invest too much, but it is in NYC so I can’t give out crappy looking generic flyers, as no one will take me seriously. (I know from this experience) So does anyone have any suggestions or offers?
P.S. It’s for an IT company that focuses on small office computer related installations, repairs and services.

My Computer has buzzing speakers. Numerous people warned me to not buy HP laptop by I was a Loyal customer for year I had a HP Fax, HP Mice etc. Own an HP Laptop DV6 Select Edition.- it cost $1520 with a 512 MB. HP is giving me the run around and I want my money back.I have a service contract for 4 years they want me to return the computer to get it repaired and than I have to be without a computer for 7 days.I asked them for a New HP Laptop they said no.
…………………………………………
After 4 months it needed a new Hard Drive. Now 5 months later it needs a new Mother Board the real bad computer that come from China. This is all annoying I want and deserve my money back.
Any suggestions how I can get my money back. I really do not think telling the Better Business Bureau would not help. Have you had this problem with HP too.
I would really love to buy an Apple if I can get my money back from HP.
HP can sell my computer it as refurbished I looks and new still, I even have the plastic on the keyboard and has a metal casing.I wrote to the HP President his name is Léo Apotheker- he is in Ca.I even called his office and got no where.

PS. HP and Dell are bad laptops I have had them both. The problem is in the soldering maybe who knows.
By the way this is my second HP I had to buy a new one Dec. 2010 because Hp DV 4000 stopped working after 6 years. After 2 years the touch screen stopped working. They do make Laptop garbage.I know this for sure. The Technical support know nothing and do nothing. the Case Managers in Canada now I am dealing with have their rules.I am going to contact the Media. They will know my name.
I am not throwing out $1520 I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
I want people to suggest here…IDEAS…how to get my MONEY BACK NOTHING ELSE.
Thank you smarties.
Someone called from HP today 2-25-2011after my detailed note was emailed on 2-24-2021;today is day 2-25-2011 to tell me I have to return my computer to get to fixed, noting new. Again I told them I need my computer for my work.My home contract says home service which they are not honoring. They advertise home service.
………Summary…………………
After 3 Months- Needed a Hard Drive
After that the speakers are buzzing.
After 5 Months- Needs a Mother Board
I deserve my money back this computer is a lemon.
They can fix my lemon as refurnished.
I really do not want to contact media and put their name all over the net.
There is Channel 5 in NYC- Consumer Complaints.I really do not like to complain, just here for now
I just want my money back they should break their rules and policies for me.
I bought the laptop on line and used my credit card. What about my credit card company.Would they be able to get me my money back after 5 months?
I can not buy a desktop. I travel and need to bring my computer with me.Laptops are great for car vacations. Again, If they do not give me my money back from a lemon Laptop the Media All Media I can think so will know the Poor Customer Service HP gives and the “False Promises of Home Service” for 4 years they call it a home service contract.I contact Oprah.
Buying Laptops they are all made is China yes? China make junk. And we are forced to buy the junk. Apple Computers are made in China too. My friend buys a new computer after her service contract is up the repairs are very costly for Apples.

Resolved Question: Can I use my Sony Warranty to Repair Backlight Bleed on a Vaio?
By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 31 December, 2010, 1:51 am
I have a 2 year Sony Warranty with ADH which I purchased from Sony’s own website in December 2009. It is a VGN-NW250F. Since I bought it, I have had a moderately bad and annoying problem with backlight bleed. Bright spots show up, frequently in the bottom right corner of my screen, although sometimes the bottom right corner is fine and other areas of the screen have bright spots. Based on this, I assume the damage is not permanent and can be repaired. I’m wondering if this is a common problem to use my warranty to fix. Since this is the first time I have ever bought a warranty, I want to ask those of you with knowledge on the matter:
1) Where should I look to repair my computer first? A Sony Style Store? (I live in NYC and LA)
2) Should I say this is a recent problem? Is it an issue that I’ve let it go for a year? Because I had to have it literally every second for school this past year, I wasn’t able to take it in– especially because this isn’t a major functionality issue…
3) For what reasons might Sony invalidate my warranty? I love my computer but I’ve heard horror stories about the warranty; i.e. people being told they inflicted water damage on their computer, and therefore their warranty is invalid. My computer has never had any sort of damage, ever. I’ve also heard Sony has denied warranty because illegal programs are installed on the computer. Is this something Sony actually checks? Even if I’m looking to repair a hardware issue, not a software issue? And if so, do I need to wipe my PC first, to make sure I don’t have anything illegal at all on it?
Thanks for any help– want to make sure I have this sorted out before I bring in my PC, because I really hope I can get this repaired without paying a cent.

By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 11 November, 2010, 5:31 pm
Hey all. I just got a job and I will be making 70-80k starting in september this year right after I finish my bachelors in Computer Science. But I have 6k saved from working in volunteer and internship jobs . I will continue to live with my parents when I work and I expect to save 50k which is what I get right after taxes, each year. My parents never ever let me down, and they know my plans to save about 200k-300k in 5-6 years. My parents are pretty wealthy, and they have good permanent jobs in my uncle’s business. But I hope that after these 5-6 years when I am 26 I will save 250-300k and then aim to get a job in new jersey. I live in nyc right now and I want to save everything I make just for the house. I want a 650k victorian house in nj and I want to only have like a 350k mortgage, 300 k for the extra loan to equal 600k for the house and 50k to buy furniture and do repairs to my house. And after this purchase of the house, I will have about a 350k mortgage, making my monthly payment about 2-2.5k a month. I also plan to move to nj to get a job there. I then will just save money and use my money to live myself. What do you think about my plan? Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated . Thanks.
i don’t need a car. i live in nyc… my parents provide me with an unlimited metrocard. and i do spend time with friends but we never ever do anything expensive. my parents know the value of $$. come on, wasting money before i get a house, which is much more worthwhile?
plus, i only have a 8k loan, ill pay 200 dollars every month for about 6 years. thats really all i need to do… like i said my parents rly provide me a lot. what are my parents gonna spend $ on… strangers on the street.? ![]()
i meant my friends kno the value of money… and that loan was a student loan on my undergrad education.
Nah man. my job is with the MTA. It won’t be outsourced, its a guaranteed employment with the MTA…. some dude from india doens’t even speak english, or doens’t know about the mta, you have to be present at the mta office to do the work. And yeah… im trying to focus on not getting any mortgage. But a little loan is necessary… it will be as little as possible.
Resolved Question: Can a 1965-1975 car be turned into a commuter?
By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 17 April, 2010, 8:26 pm
I’m trying to buy my first car and everyone keeps telling me that I should get a Honda or something, but I hate new age cars. I really want a car between the years 1965-75 and it’s something that I could keep for life instead of getting rid of it in like 4 years. My plan was to purchase a Buick LeSabre 72 and tune up the engine etc to make it my car. To give you guys an idea of how serious I am I plan on using all my pay checks from my part time job to make this dream a reality – I’m 18 and a freshman in college. I really want guys who have restored cars and have that experience to help me out here. I’m in NYC and I know I’m pretty strange for doing this, but everyone is different. Will cars in this time period only be able to run like a couple times a week then have to get taken in for constant repairs costing 1k+ each time? I also heard that cars of this time period are extremely easier to repair in comparison to modern cars because there’s no computer is this a fact?
You guys have no idea how much I appreciate this, all this information is much needed to get this going. It’s interesting when someone stated that the Chevy or Potiac would be easier. I mean I’m open for idea, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get the epiphany to get the car after watching my favorite show Supernatural in the show they drive a 67 Impala and the Buick LeSabre looks really similar to it, at an extremly lower price. I will get a car in this era especially because it is ultimately an investment. If you guys could throw in the typical prices to fix up the car it would be great I would probably buy the parts on eBay then pay a mechanic to install them.
Resolved Question: I don’t know what kind of career I want to have when I’m older?
By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 4 September, 2009, 3:14 pm
I’m a freshman girl in high school. All my friends seem to have some kind of idea of what they want to do, and they’re all preparing for college and stuff already, while I have no clue on what career I want to have or where I want to go to college. What I do know, is I want to go to college in either Long Island or NYC. Or anywhere near NY. I have an interest in technology and such. But I’m not interested in being like a computer repair person or anything like that. I’m also interested in fashion and modeling. And I’m a little interested in working in a school. I don’t want to have a career as a lawyer, a doctor, or a vet. And I want to make okay/good money when I become an adult. Any ideas for what kind of career I should have/what colleges I should think about going to? Btw, don’t list NYIT as a college. I don’t want to go there. Thanks.

By Yahoo! Answers: Search for at 28 April, 2009, 5:46 am
I’m looking to start an internet business in NY and I already found out what I need to do federally (EIN/Tax ID) but what do I need to do state wise to be recognized as a business and pay the proper taxes? I was looking on the NY gov website but its rather confusing to me and I havent had time to go down to an office to meet with anyone to explain.
Im also unsure if I should file the business as a sole proprietor or LLC. It will only be me running it for now but I was told I should file as an LLC in case anything should happen my personal assets would be touched just those of the business.
The business will be a complete gaming website as well local computer repair. I will be building PC’s as well as selling hardware and software. The business will be run out of my office from home.
