A new fan is about $10. Since it gave a warning, it’s probably the CPU fan.
you can get a fan for as less as $3 but if its the cpu fan it could be more
Take the side panel off of your computer and turn the computer on. Look at the fans and see which one is not turning. If it is one directly on the case, it is an easy 10 dollar fix. However, if it is the one in the center of the motherboard, on the CPU, things get a little more dicey. CPU heatsinks can be as much as 70 dollars so if you are only using the computer for basic stuff, get a 20 or 30 dollar heat sink. Second, check and see whether the one you choose has thermal paste already applied. If it does, just follow the directions and go. If not, you will need something called thermal paste to apply to the part of the heat sink that will touch the processor. If this is the case, read all directions thoroughly to be sure you are putting on enough but not too much thermal paste. It needs to be in the middle because too much/little is bad.
Shop rates are considerably more than 10$. If you’re lucky they will charge you the half hour. Probably around $50-$75.
Real easy to do yourself, even for a novice.
Yes, open the case see wich one is not turning. Look for the size and go to tigerdirect.com or newegg.com you do not need to take it to a shop. It is 4 screws or sometimes just a clip. and a 3 prong plug. YOU CAN DO THIS!! usally less than 20bucks.
