for my coursework i am setting up a computer repair service and i need to know roughly the average cost of the parts needed to repair a computer. is there anyone on here that works or owns a computer repair company that could give me a rough idea. it doesnt have to be precise at all only a guess
ok this is what i mean. lets say you have 3 customers…
1st customer needs a new HDD which costs £20, not including labour
2nd customer needs a new mother board which costs £100
3rd customer needs a new DVD drive which costs £30
20+100+30=150
150/3 customers=50
so the average cost of parts per customer is £50

theres no fixed charges, you will have to decide yourself on prices which you think is reasonable
At the start you will probably end up paying retail prices for your parts.
If your business grows any, then you can buy wholesale.
Question kinda doesn’t make sense because you can find the price of “parts” all over the place.
How can we possibly answer that? We do not know where the parts are from and how much and how long it would take a certain person to fit them etc. It is entirely upto the person who is fitting them and they will decide on how long it has took them and if it has been a complicated job
